New York City is full of interesting historical landmarks. One such landmark is Columbus Circle in New York City. Columbus Circle was named in honor of the Columbus, the explorer from Genoa, Italy. It towers a total of 70 feet above the traffic circle below and includes miniaturized representations detailed in bronze of the three of Columbus’ discovery ships; the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria.
